Whitney Road was honored to have our album “Home” nominated for Best American Album in The 2025 Syracuse Area Music Awards. 

The SAMMY awards (established in 1993) are given based on the judgment of submissions sent to the SAMMYS Board by musicians in Syracuse and the surrounding area in Central NY State.  A total of 182 artists submitted 270 recordings!  An independent panel of music industry professionals and educators from around the country reviewed the submissions and made their selections based on their merit within their genre.   

The SAMMY Awards Ceremony was held at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse on Friday, March 7.       The Ripcords album “Whit Cadillac” won the award for Best Americana Album.  It was a total blast to attend the ceremony and a great honor to be nominated for the award !
